In the past Joomla! has taken several awards in Packt Publishing's Open Source CMS Award. Unfortunately this year Joomla! was placed runner-up both in Overall Open Source CMS Award and Best Open Source PHP CMS Award. While this shows Open Source CMS arena is very alive and competitive, it also means Joomla! development team and community have to put more effort to get ahead of the pack. So lets congratulate all the winners and work harder to win next year's awards.
